Our Story

Based in the heart of Boroughbridge, Dolly’s Vegan Bakery was born from a love of kindness, creativity, and a little bit of country sparkle. 

Laura, the baker behind the magic, named the business after her lifelong idol, Dolly Parton. (Fun fact: she was even a Dolly tribute artist once!) When she’s not in the kitchen, Laura works in HR management, but baking has always been her way to combine compassion with creativity. A vegan for ethical reasons, Laura started experimenting with recipes to make delicious, plant-based bakes that don’t compromise on taste.

Following her husband Sam's diagnosis of crohns disease, this only inspired Laura further to keep experimenting with dairy-free bakes that would keep him from flare ups.

Married since 2021, Laura and Sam live with their two beloved miniature dachshunds, Percy and Henry, who keep them company during late-night baking sessions and taste-testing (well, almost).

We operate from a dedicated vegan kitchen, giving complete peace of mind to our dairy-free and plant-based customers. We're a fully allergen trained and food hygiene certified, meaning your bakes are made to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness, because your trust matters as much as taste.
